Alliance, Keller, and Southlake new-builds often leave a keypad that is not a live ADT account
The option sheet said “pre-wire” or “alarm system included.” The hall has a clean keypad. The closing binder has a one-page flyer. None of that is ADT monitoring in your name. Alliance, Keller, Southlake, and Heritage new-builds are where we see this leftover the most: plastic that looks finished, a communicator that may not exist, and a family already commuting toward Northwest ISD, Keller ISD, or Carroll ISD drop-off with a dark account. Photograph the pad the day you get keys. Call (817) 745-6007 before the punch-list painter caulks it into the wall as decoration.
Home Security Systems Fort Worth is the local line at homesecuritysystemsftworth.com. The lockup is Fort Worth Security Pros. SafeStreets is the ADT Authorized Provider that installs or reactivates. ADT monitors 24/7. This site is not ADT corporate. Same-day or next-day is common in this Texas–DFW territory when the calendar is open. Confirm the ZIP. 76177 Alliance inside Fort Worth is not 76248 Keller and is not 76092 Southlake. The hardware can look identical. The police desk does not. Alliance, Keller, Southlake, and Heritage are occupancy pages. This journal is the hardware already on the wall.
What included alarm meant on a far-north option sheet
Builders sell a keypad and a couple of door contacts because buyers check a box. They do not sell 36 months of ADT. They do not file CryWolf. They do not test a cellular path. They do not count the extra garage service door the trim crew added in week twenty. Included means leftover. Leftover means photograph it.
Heritage, Walsh, the Alliance Texas plats, Keller’s new streets, Southlake infill that still calls itself new — the pattern repeats. A model home may even have a live demo pad that is not your account. Do not take a model-home sticker as your monitoring. Order in your name. Promotional packages still start at $53.99/mo* for Secure+. $99 install on many plans. Homeowners only. The builder flyer is not a coupon.
If the salesperson said “just call the 800 number on the pad,” stop. The order path for this territory is the 817 line. Fort Worth Security Pros. SafeStreets. ADT. How to order is the process. Photograph leftover keypads is the resale version of this photo. New-builds need the same three shots.
Three photos the day you get keys, before anyone paints the hall
Whole pad on the wall. Close-up of model and sticker. Open communicator bay if it opens without a fight. If it is still in builder film, photograph through the film and tell us it has never been armed. Punch-list week is when painters, cleaners, and warranty techs come and go. That week is an empty house with a lot of strangers who have gate codes. Order monitoring into that week, not after the last touch-up.
This site has no upload form. Privacy is the phone-first rule. Have the photos on the phone when you dial. Do not post the account sticker in a Facebook group for the plat.
If the builder already scheduled a “security walk” with a brand that is not this quote, you can still call 817. You are not obligated to keep a leftover that cannot be monitored. You are obligated to yourself to get ADT 24/7 if that is what you thought you bought.
Builder leftover versus a prior owner’s ADT
A true resale leftover might have been a live ADT account the last owner cancelled. A builder leftover often never had an account. Both look like a keypad. The 817 specialist cares which one you have because reactivation and first-time connection are different sentences. Say “new-build, never monitored” if that is the truth. Say “previous owner, sticker in the window” if that is the truth. Do not guess.
Reactivation or first connection still comes with a new monitoring agreement — typically 36 months. Early termination fees apply. Credit approval applies. The last owner’s term, if any, is not yours. The builder’s two-year warranty is not monitoring.
Replace happens when the pad is a dummy, a brand we cannot use, or a box with no communicator. Replace is not a slight. It is how you get a path that still reaches ADT when Oncor drops. Oncor and cellular backup is the outage article. Ask whether this leftover has a cellular path. Many do not.
Alliance plats are not Keller halls and not Southlake paper
Alliance streets inside the City of Fort Worth file Chapter 12 CryWolf at $50 a year — (833) 281-8742, [email protected]. Permit required for police response. False alarms 1–3 are $0, then $50, $75, $100. Commercial is $100. A 76177 house can sit next to a street that feels like Keller and still be Fort Worth paper. Confirm the city on the tax bill. Fort Worth versus Keller and Colleyville is the desk article.
Keller is $25. Southlake is $35 residential. Colleyville does not require a residential alarm permit. Those three cities are why far-north callers mash paperwork. The keypad does not choose the desk. The ZIP does. We name the office on the quote. You file it.
Arlington is a different comparison — also $50, different hall. If you are not in Arlington, do not use that article as your filing guide. Fort Worth versus Arlington is for that line. This page is Alliance / Keller / Southlake / Heritage leftovers.
Northwest ISD, Keller ISD, and Carroll ISD empty the plats
We will not rank those districts. We will not use Carroll or Keller as a crime score. We will say the obvious occupancy fact: drop-off empties a new-build from morning until pickup, and a leftover pad does not watch that window. Heritage and Alliance toward Northwest ISD, Keller toward Keller ISD, Southlake toward Carroll ISD — same unsupervised hours, different bells. Arm from the car. School-day empties is the calendar article. Weekday empty houses is the I-35W and Alliance job clock underneath.
Early release and teacher workdays send a teenager into a house with a pad nobody explained. Teach the code the day we install, not the day the alarm trips. Smart+ at $63.99* is the plan most of these callers pick because they want to arm from an Alliance parking lot. Complete+ at $74.99* is video on a long driveway. Driveways here are long. Video is still not the center. Sensors are the center.
TCU is not these plats. Do not mix a Tanglewood HOA story into a Heritage leftover unless you actually live in Tanglewood. Tanglewood is a different occupancy page.
Long driveways, garage service doors, and the extra refrigerator garage
New-builds in this band hide a third garage door, a service door on the side, and a glass slider to a patio that the option sheet called outdoor living. Count them. The two contacts the builder stuck on the front and the garage overhead are not a system. SafeStreets will walk the house and put sensors on the openings you agree to. That walk is the product. The leftover pad is only the starting object.
Larger-lot and extra unit show up on some Keller and far-north lots and on Aledo edges we also schedule. If there is a casita or a shop, say extra unit. Parker County Aledo is close-in coverage. Confirm the ZIP. Aledo is the Parker page. Weatherford too. This line is Tarrant plus those close-in Parker houses, 33 Fort Worth ZIPs included. Confirm every address.
HOA camera rules in Southlake and in some Alliance and Keller plats limit what faces the street. Bring the covenant. Indoor sensors plus ADT still protect the house. A doorbell on Complete+ is optional. The leftover keypad order is not. HOA camera rules is the packet article, including Southlake plats. Do not skip monitoring because the board is picky about a camera.
Oncor, CoServ pockets, and a communicator the builder never put in
Oncor Electric Delivery is the wires company for most houses we schedule. CoServ covers some north lots. If the bill says CoServ, say CoServ. United Cooperative Services is more of a south-Tarrant and Johnson sentence, but name whatever logo is on the bill. Not CenterPoint. Cellular backup is how a new house still reaches ADT when the power and the Wi-Fi die. Builder Wi-Fi extenders are not that path.
Ice and hail hit these plats the same as they hit Fairmount. Uri in 2021 is occupancy plus backup. A new roof does not keep the router on. Ask the cellular question while the leftover is still on the wall. Oncor and cellular backup is the outage article.
A thermostat the builder installed is not Smart+. Smart+ at $63.99* is a professionally installed system with automation and ADT 24/7. Do not assume the builder’s Wi-Fi thermostat is the package.
What SafeStreets does with a builder leftover on install day
The technician walks openings, keeps what we can keep, replaces what we cannot, connects monitoring, and tests in the driveway. You should arm from the cab of your own car before they leave — that is the actual commute test. Add a spouse. Add a neighbor in the plat who is not always on the same Alliance shift you are. Yard signs are optional. Monitoring is not a sign.
$99 install on many plans still applies when the leftover can be used. A full replace and a camera grid can move the install. Ask. Secure+ $53.99*. Smart+ $63.99*. Complete+ $74.99*. Free alarm promo ($850 value) on qualifying monitoring*. 36 months. How much ADT is in Fort Worth is the money. Packages is the product page. How installation works is the truck.
Punch-list vendors should not get a master code that you never change. Change codes after we go live. The builder’s lockbox is a leftover too.
What we will not do with a builder leftover
We will not tell you the option sheet was monitoring. We will not invent a neighborhood crime rate for Heritage or for a Southlake cul-de-sac. We will not rank Carroll ISD. We will not file CryWolf for you. We will not take a tenant on a homeowner promotion. We will not take a form. We will not pretend this website is ADT corporate.
Confirm the ZIP. This line schedules Tarrant County and close-in Parker. We will not tell you Colleyville rules apply to a Fort Worth 76177 house. We will not tell you Fort Worth Chapter 12 applies to a Keller 76248 house. Name the city.
Citywide FWPD figures — 2025 overall down 13.8 percent, property crime down 17 percent, 81 homicides — do not grade a Keller plat. Those are City of Fort Worth numbers. Occupancy still applies in Keller. Is Fort Worth safe in 2026 is the citywide article. Break-ins and home security is occupancy without a scare. Order the leftover either way.
Relocations, leftover stickers, and whose name is on the file
Families who moved from another Texas metro bring a yard sign in the trunk and an old account email. That account does not cover this house. Start a new agreement. Photograph this pad. If a collection letter for the builder’s demo account shows up, it is not your monitoring. Order yours.
If you bought from another buyer who lived here eleven months and never turned the pad on, you are in the resale leftover story even though the house is three years old. Same photos. Same 817 call. Same three packages.
Fairmount porch packages is a different leftover city — bungalows, alleys, Magnolia boxes. Far-north new-builds are driveways and builder plastic. Do not copy the Magnolia doorbell story onto a Southlake board that already said no street cameras unless you actually want that fight. Indoor ADT still watches the house.
Order it the week you get keys, not the week something happens
Call (817) 745-6007 with the ZIP, new-build versus resale, house versus extra unit, cameras yes or no, and the three photos. Hear reactivation or replace. Hear the monthly. Hear the $99 install on many plans. Hear whether you are Fort Worth CryWolf $50, Keller $25, Southlake $35, or Colleyville with no residential permit. Hear the date. SafeStreets installs. ADT monitors 24/7. Fort Worth Security Pros is the local voice.
Leave the keypad on the wall. Do not let punch list bury it. A builder leftover is the cheapest reminder that the house is already empty toward Alliance jobs and school bells. Make it live. Then drive to work. Communities we serve is the map. The Fort Worth security guide is occupancy cards and leftover pads in one place. Contact is the 817 line. There is no form that schedules the truck.
